Under the initiative of Srijana Abhiyan Samaj, novelist Rebi Bajracharya’s book Pyari Chori Maya was officially launched. The ceremony took place at the Lok Sahitya Parishad hall in Patan Bakhumbahal, with the presence of various distinguished personalities.
The novel was jointly unveiled by storyteller Dhruva Madhikarmi, advocate Bishnu Basyal, social activist Raja Ram Tandukar, and the author’s father Pragya Ratna Bajracharya.
Following the release, storyteller Dhruva Madhikarmi remarked that the novel delivers a clear message in favor of a peaceful, violence-free society. He emphasized the need for parental responsibility, justice, and sensitivity toward women and children suffering from growing violence and abuse. Advocate Bishnu Basyal noted the rising violence against women and delays in justice, stressing the importance of public awareness. Social activist Raja Ram Tandukar praised the novel’s effort to spread awareness against gender-based violence.
Author Rebi Bajracharya shared that incidents of violence and discrimination against women, both in Nepal and abroad, deeply influenced her, inspiring her to portray them through literature. During the program, Divya Bajracharya delivered the welcome speech, while Pragya Ratna Bajracharya offered a vote of thanks. The event was conducted by Purnima Shakya.
Centered on the themes of violence and sexual exploitation against women, the novel Pyari Chori Maya has been published by Srijana Abhiyan Samaj.
